Interesting how De La Hoya has positioned himself as pretty much the next Don King and he has damned near shut HBO boxing down.

I'm Where I'm At
I don't know much about canelo, but I did see his fight with shane mosely and I don't see how he can beat Floyd. he isn't fast enough and his output isn't anything that appears, to me, to be anything that will give mayweather any trouble. he will need to land a ko. he's got a good left hook to the body and a good uppercut but I think he will need a ko. if it goes the distance I think mayweather will outmatch him with a solid defense and superior countering

I think the fix is in.
1. Floyd has no rematch clause in his contract
2. Golden Boy has a handshake agreement and Date for Canelo's First defense at Texas Stadium vs. Sergio Martinez
3. Oscar is going to miss the fight because he had to enter rehab? So when the BS goes down he doesn't have to directly answer to the media.
4. This match up reminds me of the Oscar vs. Pernell Whitaker fight. Everyone said Oscar was to young to beat Sweet P and what happen that night was Oscar was given the fight and the pound for pound crown.

I think Floyd should cruise if he controls the pace and when they exchange but I think the fix is in.
Conspiracy theory? I'm in; $50 on Alvarez.

isn't Martinez too big for canello?

I can't see how he'd be able to handle the size and power of martinez

Yet another boring big money Mayweather sparring match.

yeah you gotta be a fan of that kind of art to appreciate him. the defensive, countering style. now if Floyd had real power in his hands he'd be much more exciting

i'd love to see him go down but I don't think canelo is the guy

I'm Where I'm At
with the precision he has, if he had more power he'd have a lot more knock outs

he hits people with some clean shots but can't put them away

problem is: THEY CAN'T FIND ANYBODY THAT CAN HIT HIM, he's either too quick ,,to strong or both,,, although Sergio MARTINEZ ,, MIGHT be good enough to at least make it competitive... MONEY won't go up in weight for that , though,, or at least thats how it seems to me...BTW ,,, HEARD ON THE COLIN COWHERD show this morning, MAYWEATER , according to a writer doing a story on him,KEEPS 132 mil $$ ,,,IN a bank account,, COWHERD SAYS THAT'S nuts ,, but I say it's safer than investing:nilly:

MIGHT be tough to do from rehab,,I bet he doesn't last  but IMO HBO
IS PART OF THE PROBLEM WITH BOXING ,, we need the networks to make a comeback ,if boxing is to be relevant again
