The guy that they replaced Rashad with is an old training partner of Cormier. He says that he broke Cormier and made him cry. I'm not buying it...
Ya, I read that about Melendez. Cesar Gracie was trying to threaten to move all of his fighters to Bellator or something. Gil would be a huge loss for the UFC, whether or not Dana will admit it. In my opinion, he's a top 3 LW. He was still under his Strikeforce contract until recently and was making 165K to show (if I recall correctly). That's a lot of money, but the UFC can swing that no problem for a top tier fighter.
After Alvarez and Chandler (I think Gil beats both), there aren't really any more challenges over there.
I remember Dan Henderson saying that when he was negotiating with Dana, he refused the offer, then Dana started offering him less then his original offer. I don't doubt that Dana can be childish when someone disagrees with him.
Hopefully, Gil stays with the UFC.
I'm having a hard time picking a winner tonight. I like Machida and Mousasi. I'm leaning towards Machida, but I don't see it being an easy fight for whoever wins.
