Oh, man! What is the spine? I thought it would be something more like a thorn! All that remains is to find such texture near the tail ... Is it to do as venting in cichlids?

On pic 5 the very edge of the gill plate the light tan edging almost looks ripped. That's what I was looking for. I'll find a way to circle it later

I hope those Congo tetra grow fast, because IMO look like the Ctenopoma can easily suck one in .
