I see no reason to send a puppy to a rescue only time we did that was with a litter a German shrpherds which we could tell shouldn't be owned by the general public and a litter of dutch shepherd/ malinois mix puppies which weren't going to be good pets lol. If a breed rescue takes a puppy they probably do have ulterior motives or the puppy is one the rare ones that need to be handled carefully, as in its clear from a young age it's gonna cause issues

@Crazy mike, but see, you are up north where things are probably more normal. the whole vibe in SoCal is different.

Lol rob. we have a tiny female here to be careful for, she's 5.5 lbs of hot burnin love.
ok well I have spotted a boxer in a county shelter within driving distance so I'm callin first thing in mornin. he looks young adult, found as stray, neutered.
If you read 'bout a granny killed by a pound dog while shielding her chihuahua, you'll know who it was. LOL
