I decided to include these pics since they, technically, are a part of the hobby.
I had nearly finished refilling this 285 (see the water line) when I heard a quick 'tik-tik' sound. Before I could even think; "OH, S......" the tank blew out. The force of the water was strong enough to move the 200+ pound hull steel plate next to the tank. I caught some of it but, most of it rushed out of the open door near the rack and watered my lawn.
This is what remains of a 360gal 8ft x 4ft reef tank after a tornado side-band lifts it up from the backyard, carries it over the pool fence, and smashes it against an old oak tree 50+ feet across the side yard. I had it on saw horses for buffing out before setting it up again for polys.
