Heros sp. 'Curare' - potentially the real Heros severus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I took a couple of pictures and a video tonight of the pair guarding the eggs. They're doing a pretty good job. Dad seems more interested now. I think if I get wrigglers I'll siphon them out -- I don't want to take any chances.

Defiantly siphon then out. Or move the rest of the fish and give these guys there own tank. You have several of us excited at the potential of being able to obtain some of these beautiful fish !!!!

About half of the eggs were gone tonight when I got home. I can see little tails forming in them so what's left are apparently fertile.

I didn't want to chance it so I pulled the flower pot and put it in a 20 gallon. They are due to hatch tomorrow so we'll see if any make it.

Congrats man! Thats real exciting

How are they looking? I've got some exciting wigglers too ;)

Any updates on these guys ?

They went free swimming yesterday morning and started eating BBS last night. I put the flowerpot back in the 210 with the pair and they immediately turned on their spawning colors and started herding the other fish back into the corners of the tank.

Congrats dude, they spawned insanely quick. You'll likely be the first to breed these in states.
