We're at 12 weeks and I think it's safe to say I can flood the US with "Red Tigers" if people want them.

Get flooding then! And hopefully in a couple of hundred years they might come to Aus.

Sort of. I finally broke down and raised them for eight weeks in the same pH as the parent tank, which is anywhere from 3.7 to 4.5. Then I slowly started introducing tap water.
