I keep mine 20 incher with a 7 inch giant gourami, 3 10-12 inch oscars, 2 5-7 inch nicaraguensis, 26 inch adonis, a ripsaw and a tsn x etc hybrid that all except the adonis and ripsaw could be eaten. The key is always keeping him well fed and in a large enough tank where everyone has room.

The ripsaw didn't get eaten because of the spikes on their sides.

No, it is just to keep the piece of driftwood on the bottom of the trough.

Haven't seen the OP since the thread was posted. Guess the point was made and then some.

Fish aren't jerks they do what nature intended for them to do, it's us that screws up not them. Lesson learned.

I don't think anyone was outright rude to them.

in fact...re-reading this...no one was even remotely mean.
