Lol, your absolutely right I owned one a French Bulldog so I will agree im hypocritical but I still won't have those types of fish in my aquariums lol.

Hahaha i owned an old english (not bred to be fat lazy plumps) but yeah the wife trumps all oaths.

I may be wrong about this but there arent many dogs that havent gone through selective breeding. I think the besenji (spelling) maybe the closest to a "natural" dog.

As long as the animal isnt suffering and the owner enjoys the pet whats really wrong with it ?

Just playing a little Devil's advocate...................but what about dog breeds that are proned to hip issues? Hip issues are typically painful, so are they not suffering due to the selective breeding that "designed" them that way. How would we even know if an extremely deformed spine on a BP is not causing excruciating pain or at least some sort of discomfort?

Good point lots of dogs end up with hip issues... my moms poodle had them.

But then where do we draw the line. Oscars are selectively bred other than the bps appearence is there a diff ?
