Jaguar catfish growth rate?

Anyone know how fast these fish grow? I know they don't grow to large, but I'm just curious as I plan to keep an ery with it once it gets some size. Right now it's maybe 2-2.5". I figure by the time it's 4" I can add an ery, hopefully it'll be girthy by then. Also, mine has like the block spotting, not the actual jaguar pattern, I don't see larger ones like this so do their pattern change as they mature maybe? Just something I noticed and was curious about.

Thank you, I saw aquascape had them and had to get one, I've been admiring this fishes colors and patterns from pictures long enough lol, and it doesn't get to big so it only made sense

Yea that's where I got it from. It says 3" but expect a little smaller, unless I just got the smallest guy or it just looks really small. But now you know you're getting the right species, I say go for it

I think you are right and this is a baby pattern.

The max size is listed at ~10" SL or ~1' TL but I've never seen one bigger than 6" TL. It's not a fast growing fish. I'd guess it will take roughy a year to go from 2" to 4".

Okay....so moe214 .....ur jag got me and I just ordered it from aquascapeonline. So looking forward to it.

Got one catfish left on my wish list (Wallace's shoe head catfish) then I'm done with catfish.
