So I got this guy yesterday he's around 18in or so was just wondering what are some good tank mates for him and how much bigger will he get and does anyone know how much a fish this size is potentially worth?

Interesting. Asian USD catfish, if that is what it is, do not break 10"-12" most usually http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=21

It looks to me it but it'd be nice to have more and better photos. If it is Mystus leucophasis, it is by far a champion size. Then all bets are off as to its value, as there'd be no precedent.

In terms of housing, they are, again most usually, highly aggressive. I'd not be surprised if it cannot be kept with anything short or long term.

My little bloodthirsty weasel when it was 2" managed to kill three 6" harlequin lancer catfishes by constantly tattering their fins, and stressed badly my three black lancers, killed one trachydoras, etc.

He is ~4" now and has been ok with a 14" Labeo, 3 black sharks, and two common plecos.

is this a better pic for y'all? Right now there is an Oscar, a redtail shark and a peacock cichlid in the tank and he only messes with the Oscar but everything else looks to be getting along just fine

Havent seen one that size since 06 lol... very cool specimen... as for worth? depends on what someone is willing to pay...

Now put a measuring tape against the tank and take a pic as he swims by so there's no doubt, but he does look bigger than a foot. It looks to be the real thing to me, biggest I've ever read of was a 14" one but heard they get to 18" eventually. He may eat the smaller rainbow shark if he can fit it in his mouth, which would suck cause yours seems to be about 6" and I've never seen one that big in person yet lol. Good tankmates would be robust fish who can hold their own with aggression, but don't deal out to much, ime they can't take beatings very well, I had a 9" one with my curupira which was probably around 10-11" at the time (TL for both) and at night time the wolf would grab hold of him, he didn't make it after the third night or so, though I'm not entirely sure it was all due to the wolf, because he was chasing my odoe, and my odoe is no slouch either (fights with the wolf and occasionally puts on a small chase after my sun cat). It behaved similarly to my big pim. Blochi I once kept, slightly aggressive. I've kept one more a time ago but can't remember much of it it was slightly smaller, I have one now for a couple of months, hides all day till I turn the lights off and comes out to eat then.
