Here
I don't but I'll turn up the heat and add the salt. Just go with what the box says or how much salt?
I believe piranha keepers recommend less than the recommended dose on the box. I would say just reduce by half or thirds. Hope this can get that elong healing up soon. Order some melafix asap.It is probably handy to have one whether you need it immediately or not.

Go with salt and clean water and the paraguard we talked about in the other thread...mela/pima aren't going to do enough to ward off infection/fungus

Should indo a water change now? Will that stress the fish more? Thank you
don't need to do water change if your parameters are good, no feeding until it's completely healed. if all goes well you should see it's slowly getting better very soon.

For those of you who read some of the other threads I posted on. I got this fish Thursday morning from aquascape. Not a great experience.

image.jpeg image.jpeg I need more help! Its tail is deteriorating fast. Just got home to check on it and I was very sad to see that it has gotten worse.:( I've only had it for like 30 hours and has gotten worse I tested the water before I put the fish in. Tested it later that night. Tested this morning. Tested just now. The clean water and salt aren't working yet

Hope it will pull thru.

Sometimes the damaged fins will flake off before being replaced by new growth - happened to mine before once or twice.

Did you ever have it were the rot was on the body of the fish? It does seem like the damaged part of the tail is falling away. I just hope I have stopped it from creeping closer to the body.
