Sorry you had this experience. Hope the vendor will work out some type of compensation for you. If the fish is breathing fine, and balanced.. IME it will recover just fine with care. Good luck.

You can actually tak the fish out and cut it as long as your not hitting bone. Its a good sign it fell off it will grow back for sure. I had a fish who got his whole tan eaten and it grew back in a hospital tank in a few months.

I think you'll be okay but water quality is obviously important now, secondary infection is what we want to avoid. I'm not sure if I'd ask for any compensation if things are steady improvement here.

No I'm not worried about compensation at all as long as the fish is healthy. I'm just done with being frustrated and angry so whatever happens happens. I don't even need to hear back from them at all. If something goes wrong I'll just take my losses and learn a lesson.

Don't resign yourself to that. You paid for a quality fish and if you don't get it you have a reason to be upset. The thing is I think we all take a risk when we accept shipped fish and if this is the worst shipping experience you have then you are a blessed. If the fish doesn't live you should be compensated, and the meds you bought didn't really go to waste. Hang in there buddy, it's a bad first experience but I'm confident they would make good on it.

Oahu, Hi.
He is looking better! That fish is lucky to have landed in your care. I'm sure he will make a full recovery!

I did two half doses of tetracycline. The box says to repeat. Should I repeat or put carbon in and do a big water change?
