Tsn we get in the hobby are normally CB and runts from the farms or deformed. They usually don't grow bigger than 3' and take years to get there, that's in the u.s anyway. He seems to be from another country, so maybe they get wild caught in which case, depending on the species that is a good possibility

I used to own 4 tan that i had to donate to SF zoo cause they grew 3' 1/2 and i had a rtc that grew 3'.
