Eel larvae travel deep into the ocean as tranparent paper things with an eel head then return as an eel, i think that is the whole thing about never being raised in captivity :/

Lol we want updates
i'm moving him to my 75g this week along w/ some Colombian Sharks and either/and/or some Jack Dempseys/Texas cichlids/Geophagus brasiliensis so we will wait and see, but I want to get white sand for the bottom and remodel the empty tank beforehand and then i'm gonna start adding tiny doses of Ocean salt once or twice a week until it's suitable Brackish environment.

I really would have rather done it w/ a Mayan or a Blackbelt, but I never ended up coming across any yet. There were 5-6 cichlids that can thrive in Brackish to Full-Salt and those were the ones I wanted since I never had them before. Oh well, I got a few hundred G.brasiliensis fry and I think at least 3 pairs of Jack Dempseys and 1 pair of Texas.....I think im gonna see what I can do with them.....

I wonder if any of my other catfish like Brackish water....

I will when I have a tank that I can make a Bio-sphere that is over 30" tall that I don't mind only filling halfway so I can see their natural behavior in the home. They will likely be kept with Mudskippers.....I don't have any other tankmate ideas off the top of my head.

Why get Archerfish if they can't use their evolutionary hunting strategy? Isn't that bass-ackwards?
