Alrighty, still skeptical that they're captive bred. The pic resembles wild caught to me. From what I've seen when they're small (10" and under) is that they are always thin and finlets seem delicate on some. Such as bent and broken. Nonetheless, the one looks great.! Keep us all posted on your wild specimens, lol

Nice pick up! Looking forward to seeing your CB Congicus grow. I've seen cb congicus (most likely F1, they look pretty much like WC but just bit more round at a small size) float around in Asia here and there. But never seen photos of them as monsters.

Cb congicus landed in North America already? Usually, it's a big deal and Asia dealers would milk this new product first. Having a successful cb congi would be a big deal. Just my thoughts.

Farm raised congicus are not common in North America. I remember seeing an older post in another forum from Tokyogasmask. Where he had two juvenile 'japan breed' around 2009. It was a big deal back then. Can't find the pics at the moment. But definitely curious to see their progression. I'm expecting to see CB in my LFS soon, lol.... Burbotman - Nice pick up!

I remember a few years back, there were bunch of CongicusxEndli hybrid being sold as "CB Congicus" in Asia.

You mean this one? SE Asia member Channarox posted this in 2008. There was definitely some confusion due to some pale/white endlis resembling congi as well. Think they were referred as 'endli endli' too.
