Here's my thorichthys ellioti, or at least that's what the were sold as. My first new world cichlids. Also my paratilapia polleni even though its not from sa/ca.
The ellioti will stay in the 55 and the polleni will be tested with larger predatory haps when it gets bigger.

Your thorichthys looks more like aureaus to me.
Just as attractive as elloitti (now named maculipinnis) but a lot more peaceful.

I think you're right, I just googled aureaus and it does look closer to what I have. Either way this is the first thorichthys I've seen locally besides normal firemouths. Do thorichthys species easily cross breed?
