Rift Valley Crustaceans

I have rather hard water that well suits Rift Valley Aquatic life. Cichlids seem to be the most common to find, then synodontis, after that they become much harder to find. Rift Valley Crustaceans are one group I have seen pictures and videos of, and been rather interested in, as crustaceans are completely different than fish. I was wondering how many people have had experience with them, and where to find some to buy.

They are rare in the hobby but once and a while someone brings in Tanganyican crabs.I have not seen any in a few years.

Crabs from Lake Tanganyika occasionally show up on importers' lists.

Some of the African filter feeding shrimp, although originating more from West Africa can do well in a wide variety of water conditions.

If I have seen only one or two of these crabs in only one store in years then that is pretty rare to me....but thanks for correcting me.

Not trying to argue with you. The crabs are expensive and the demand isn't there.
