Thank you! $125 ? Still an ouch. I am not ready for this at all.

John is 1 hour away from me. I visit his fish house a few times a year. He is almost a good friend.

Do you think his ID can be trusted? John is a wonderful guy, just not always aware of ID intricacies such as those plaguing the pbass.

He has pictures of his intermedia fs on aquabid and his ID is correct.
$125 for a rare bass in nothing compared to a few years ago.
I bet he would give a good friend a deal on a group of 3+ intermedia.

And with all those fish and huge 4500g tanks I didn't picture you saying $125 for a fish is spendy. Especially after buying bass from Wes.

Haha... Thanks, bro. Good to know.

The bass I bought from Wes were $10-$15 each for the last batch of 5 kelberi and 5 orino, of which I lost 9. Rio Meta quartet, Wes surprised me with, when he sent them for free with 10 boxes of other fish, 80% of which I bought. The two azuls I think I paid ~$50 for both. Thus, you can see
[1] I am not made of money...
[2] Wes spoils me rotten :D

Seriously, he merely appears genuinely interested in seeing us open and succeed. fugupuff fugupuff

I am on a strict budget because we are building a small, family Public Aquarium and Rescue business and my wife and I are doing it debt-free and DIY. I have a small budget yearly to buy fish. What you see took many, many years to put together. I am not the likes of Vincent :(

Thank you, guys! It means a lot to me.

The top two links in my signature tell everything we've done since we moved to FL from NY specifically to build this Aquarium, with pics and vids from 2011 until today.

May 2017 update on 9 peacock bass in 4500 gal.

Can anyone ID the big one with bright colors and a damaged right eye? Occellaris? Monoculus? Wild caught by Wes himself in Suriname.

The one with the damaged eye looks like an occels.

How do you keep your nitrates down?

Thank you, Boss.

100% water change every 3 days. That's 22,000 gal on that system.
