Really, ive seen mine get alittle faded thru out the day, then i turn off the light at night and the color comes back, mostly i noticed that with the congi. It's odd how bichirs tend to get faded at night too!

Like during the day, they'll look faded once every few months. But every night if I randomly turn on the light, they'll all look super pale especially on the face/head.Really, ive seen mine get alittle faded thru out the day, then i turn off the light at night and the color comes back, mostly i noticed that with the congi.
I think it might have to do with the blood flow re prioritizing when sleeping. Shifting blood flow from organs like skin, to other systems related by parasympathetic nervous system activation, ie)digestive. That is my hypothesis at least for my clownfish, when they sleep. One turns almost completely white. It's odd how bichirs tend to get faded at night too!
My bichirs are usually pretty still at night (like midnight) and when the sun comes up, they'd be swimming around all over the place for a few hours before chillin again.I think it might have to do with the blood flow re prioritizing when sleeping. Could be wrong though, as bichirs are more active at night.
Mines are more active at noon, sometime they be active midnight cause thats the time i feed. When i turn the light in the garage i can see them swimming all over the place even when the light tank is off.My bichirs are usually pretty still at night (like midnight) and when the sun comes up, they'd be swimming around all over the place for a few hours before chillin again.
I'm building a stand for my 75g I bought during the $1 sale at Petco. I'll paint the back and order the sunsun canister tomorrow. I need to find a diy lid. So hopefully in a couple weeks I'll be hunting for a WC del. I'd like to keep just one large smaller species in this 75. Do you think the 75 is too small? Would it get lonely? Is Toyin my only option? I wasn't talking with a fish store in north the other day and he had a 10" ornate.jwd once you obtain a WC specimen your going to get bored at cb, nothing wrong with CB specimen but its the WC look way different from them.
But sometimes the CB have some sick looking pattern or a really nice headshape tho. You just have to look for oddballs when it comes to CB.jwd once you obtain a WC specimen your going to get bored at cb, nothing wrong with CB specimen but its the WC look way different from them.

You can fit 3-4 WC UJ in a 75g, 4' long and 18" wide right? I forgot the measurment of it but yeah you can go 3 or 4 polys. You can order some WC like in wetspot, uncleneds and other sites but toyin will be cheaper cause its a whole sale, and shipping might be cheaper for you since you live in texas, toyin base in houston.I'm building a stand for my 75g I bought during the $1 sale at Petco.
