I have a group of spotted, I chose them for a smaller size. They are more like six inches total length

The "original" silver dollar, Ctenobrycon Spilurus, grows to just over 3".
So do brachychalcinus orbicularis, but they are quite rare.

Just bought a large group. They are only a couple of inches at the moment. Looking forward to seeing them develop.

Thanks, in the big tank they are also quite mellow not skittish at all. I think tank size is the most important factor in their behavior

I don't know, but I have kept SDs of unknown species with fish 1/3 of their size with no issues.

Metynnis lippincottianus - yep - had one of these randomly .. much smaller and calmer
