How long do you guys think I should wait until I put the moke in the 55g? Haven't dosed anything yet. Have prazipro and paraguard. Everyone looks really healthy. Suggestions?

-other concern is: one of my parrot fish looks a little ragged in the scales. Stays near top of the tank most of the time(think it is scared from the other). Haven't seen it eat. (Biggest concern). Other one eats, but still has a black spot from stress. Will post that in the parrot forum. But wanted to see what you guys thought about that too. Tetras all look fat and happy. Should I shuffle anybody around before adding the moke?

Yeah, depending on the temperament of the Moke, it could end up badly.

You might consider putting Moke in the 55 now, and let the Del and Sen grow out a month or two in the QT. You could feed them more heavily that way, and be sure that they didn't become snacks. I put a just under 4" Teug with my 8-9" Del only because I knew her temperament. And even then, I was a little worried.

It would be nice for the Del and Sen to be closer to 4" just to be safe.

FYI my Moke has been my slowest grower. It's a male so that might contribute, but that is also in your favor re: letting the other tiny babies catch up a touch. I would think a CB Del would be a natural pig and probably grow relatively quickly, esp. at that size.

You've had such bad luck with polys, we all just want to assure you have success this time!
+1 get the moke over to the other tank or another tank. My moke is super laid back and wouldn't eat any of them I don't think bu....t opportunity you never know. The CB del grow quick I wouldn't be surprised if in 3 months the del is as big or bigger then the moke.

My only worry is the moke is wc right? Both the little guys I got from wetspot are cb but they were super healthy they seem reliable probably be ok to just put in 55. That is not great advise things should be QT'd , just saying I didn't but that doesn't make it right. Tetras may go missing once again its the dern opportunity, when she knocks everyone just opens the door and lets her in.

Wait until the parrot has been given the ok of no infection or being sick.

Can give a couple of weeks to make sure the moke is well.

It was ur sick convict, cichkid, that potentially killed ur ornate clm08k clm08k .

I forget ur stock currently about shuffling stuff. I do apologize.

I'm not sure what to say about the parrots. It seems like they've always been a bit off.

I am bad, in that I have never QTed a fish from Wet Spot. (And I've bought a lot of fish from them since they are my LFS.) They keep them in a separate facility, watch and treat before they put them up for sale.

They've had these mokes for a while. I think that I'd personally just put her there. You couuuuuld treat the whole 55 if you wanted.

My only concern is if the parrots have something they might give to the Moke.....

Can you post pics of the parrots?

Should I dose the main tank with anything? Rehome the parrots? Yeah now I'm freaking out about them giving something to the moke.

Maybe another option would be to put the parrots in the QT to treat them if they're sick, move polys to the 55 with a divider short term.

Not sure how to be sure that even if you remove the parrots your 55 would still be safe...?

I don't know a lot about fish diseases.

You could also divide the 10 gallon until you have it figured out. I know it's small but....

Not sure whats wrong with the parrot. Would wait till you got a clear answer about it. If you got the ok then move to the moke to main tank.

Would only treat the main tank if there's a clue to what's going on. Hard to say espcially with cichlids.

Yeah they do seem kinda odd. But I've also never kept parrots before. Will post pics of them when I get home. They always seem to be hiding or stressed.

Yes, I definitely don't want to give anything to the moke :(

Only thing that I can think of is that nitrates are 20. Any ideas on how to get a clue what's going on? I'll post some pics. Also post in the parrot forum.

Really hoping I don't muck things up a 3rd time. Especially with this moke.

Well as it sits right now the worse thing that can happen if all other variables stay the same is the moke eats the other two polys. Not a good thing but not going to loose the moke. If those parrots are sick then it could get passed on to the moke. My guess is the one is beating up the other that's why its scared and messed up scales. As to the spot even if you post a great pic I couldn't tell you what it is and probably neither will anyone else not for sure anyway. But as you said post it in the cichlid forum maybe someone will know.
