Happy to hear everyone is eating, it's always the first meal that is the hardest when they're settling in. (Unless you're an albino Sen haha)
Re: the big tank scape - maybe you could add some driftwood to your tank? I had a really large amount of rocks in my tank when I first set it up and it was fine. How much rock are you talking?
Check the QT tank every day for ammonia and nitrites so you can do a WC as needed.
+1 on rehoming the parrots. They get big and oooogly. Having those fish don't make any sense, lol . Should be smooth sailing after a water change for the polys.
Update: been checking the water every day in the poly tank. Decided on fin level WC every other day, because that's when the ammonia increased to 0.25.
Eating: Delhezi really enjoyed the bloodworm soaked pellets. Woo! Now know what it likes now! His spine is kinda curved. Hoping it will grow out. Moke eats like a bird. Ate one pellet. she doesn't really eat and I've been doing every other day feedings. I'll try tilapia again tomorrow. Might also pick up some silversides or krill.
Parrots: F**** ....these fish are interesting. The normal one comes out only when I'm away from the tank hahaha. Then goes back to the hidey hole. Other one still sits at the top of the tank most of the time. Sometimes it swims with the other one in the middle.then maybe gets picked on. Probably just gonna say "f it" and not deal with them and Rehome. Which makes me sad cause they are cute fish. But I don't know if it will be worth it if I put a lot of effort in trying to keep them.
Here are some pics of the moke playing with her moss ball. Albino and Delhezi aren't as interactive(yet) and don't come up to the front as much. So I'm gonna have to try harder to get a good pic. Those two are buddies. It's pretty cute.
no carnivore pellets yet! Get them all polys love them. They will eat. I got silversides and large mysis shrimp no one really ate those. I guess mine are to well pellet trained. Ive heard they love mysis and silversides mine wont even think of touching the mysis and only the sens ate the silversides.
At this stage. I wouldn't be concerned about whether or not.the polys are eating. They will eventually. Water parameters and figuring out what to do with the parrots, i.e. treat or rehome.
Just a suggestion on the 55g. I wouldn't being doing fin level water changes just yet. Since its a new set up and on a singular HOB filter. I'd say 50% would be sufficient.
