VATF with GATF in same tank??

From my personal experience, vatf will be constantly harassing the gatf regardless of size difference.. almost all the gatf I've kept together, they seem to comm alright just fine if you have another alpha/peace keeper tank Mate in there. I had my vatf at the bottom of the hierarchy and right after I introduced some gatf, he/she started bashing on them relentlessly.. that very same vatf eventually got taken out by a dorado probably half the size or even smaller....

How did your current gatf treat your old vatf? Did it get more confident as it grew and retaliate?

During the short time that I had them together I had to move the vatf because it shredded both of the gatfs in there.. so no.

How big are they? I feel this would be the case once the gatf is mature? It has advantages one would think even assuming similar size. It's teeth seem larger in proportion to its body vs vatf. It may be a stronger swimmer due to being found in rapids vs vatf calm waters. It's personality should be more territorial being a solitary fish in the wild vs vatf rolling in packs
