It was fresh. If it was frozen prior and then thawed it should be good.
Thanks for all the responses, kno4te . I really appreciate it. okay. I'll get the gravel vac again! lol my mom is gonna be pissed for waking her up. Oh well! There's still 4 more mins of moke monday and I get to work at 7 tomorrow! woo! But polys are more important!Keep vacuuming it out. Still lean toward mosquito larvae. Not too clear on the vid as it's moving quite fast. Could come in with the moss if it wasn't kept outside with stagnant not water.
Copper is effective. Don't want to add that just yet. But keep the water turbulent and get a net and scoop it all out. Let's hope it's not replicating.
Never seen worms from a poly before. Thanks everyone did a 50%WC. Added more salt andanother dose of Paraguard. Delhezi has ick now.
Got out some worms. But it appears there are quite a bit. Never seen them before until today. Perhaps the Paraguard yesterday expelled them from a poly?
Here's a vid. They do kinda look like bloodworms
Vancouver_98683 . Parrots were not in this tank. Just the QT and heater were the same. No substrate or filter. Also the parrots were from Segrest. Lol. Just the wet spot polys and everything else was new. Unless if these worms were in my water? I did buy a Marino ball. put one jn each tank. Could they have come in on that?
didnt this polys came from wetspot? cause i know they qt the fish first before selling it.yeah I haven't seen any worms coming out of bums. However, I have no idea. Thanks for the input either way! Looking at the links you sent now. Hopefully some people in the health section will respond
magpie : yes, please eat dinner! That is sacred time.
Polyaddict86 , yes it is quite bizarre. Idk where they came from!
yep they did. The polys looked really healthy when I got them. idk where the worms are from.Never seen worms from a poly before.

Damn that sucks, cant you remove the polys out and transfer them, or it might be a bad idea.yep they did. The polys looked really healthy when I got them. idk where the worms are from.
Could have come in on the marimo moss ball I put in the tank? or maybe they are red mosquito larvae? not 100% sure how they got in the tank.
when I look at the pics of midges/blood worms and red mosquito larvae, it does look very similar. Can they hurt the polys? I don't like having them in the tank.Chelsea, is the worm ribbed? I think I can see it but hard to tell. It's likely a fly type larvae. Perhaps, a midge fly. I assume it's hot and humid on occasion in FL. So, this would be my guess. It's phsyco deranged movement just reminds me of an insect larvae.
hmmm that's a possibility and a pretty good idea . I don't want to put them in the 55g until the poly's don't have ich. maybe I could put them in a bucket with the airstone and empty the QT and disinfect it. bleach the gravel or take it out and bleach everything? could be worth a try? Then put them back in the QT and try again?Damn that sucks, cant you remove the polys out and transfer them, or it might be a bad idea.
