they will lay every 2 to 3 weeks, if eggs not fertile. if they are snow white they are not fertile and they will eat them. you have to catch them in the act to be sure who is who.
oscars are sexually monomorphic - the males do not grow to be larger than the females, they are identical as adults.
to be sure of sexes you will need to vent them or observe sexual behavior (if you are not experienced venting large fish I'd say just observe for a while)
I would like to add first time spawn is usually unsuccessful for most CA/SA cichlids. 2nd time chances are much better.
Observing them lip locking, tail quivering, tail slapping, pushing each other around again maybe they will lay eggs again and hopefully I catch it this time

Well there still at it with the mating dance now there pushing the gravel around and I noticed the smaller of the 2 has a spike protruding from the bottom area by its anus and from what I read that means he's a he so to speak so they laid eggs before so I definetly don't have 2 males and I don't think I have 2 females either from what I'm seeing
