Build has come to a stand still. Can't get the sump to work, have it right now sucks up air and is noisy. Added extra pieces to make siphone, 1800 gph pump can't keep up. After all this time and the last stretch for the to go wrong. I am very furious, If I can't get this to work I may need to sell it 
Just run the canister filters for now .it took several attempts to get my sump running right even now I can see some improvements and could have made, learning is half the fun of the hobby. It the can be frustrating and costly at times, just take it easy and take your time. If you give up now you probably won't even see a quarter of your initial investment......
Can you post pictures or a video of the problem. So we can try and help you out.
Yup I will do so tomorrow. I set it up one way it sucks are and is too loud for the house, if it continues that way I will need to get rid of it. Other way I did siphone with some 45 degree pvc, somehow drains to fast for the pump to handle causing the tank level to go down, making the return loud and suck air into the over flows.
Very pissed off right now
all you need to do is add a ball valve to the line. This allows you to limit the amount of water that flows through the line. With some fiddling you can make it so that it runs extremely quietly.
From what I'm understanding you put the 45 elbow down, try putting it upwards and use a valve to get a full syphon.
Unfortunately wet dry filters are noisy. Id like to see vid to to see whats going on also. Build looks great though don't give up on it, that's an awesome looking sump.
