Another face burial. This bichir I’ve had the most ups and downs with from the first day I brought him home. He was attacked by my 2 ornates when I was holding them in quarantine and his right fin was bitten off down to the bloody nub. He was small and tiny and I had a hard time feeding him. Then after I got his left fin to heal he began to eat well when he could although it was tough gettin food to him due to my ornates. Then a few months ago he developed a spinal bend or kink but before that he was exhibiting large increases or growth spurts and surpassed the sizes of both ornates which from the time I got them were 3 inches or more longer than him. Now he’s the biggest and most aggressive and eats well. No other issues other than his spinal kink and eating my demasonis.
Here is lefty again today upon my regular morning demasoni check. He hasn’t been able to eat the 3 remaining ones but I check every morning anyway and I ve made it a priority to feed him as much talapia / haddock/ shrimp as he can eat before lights out.
