Massivore can be expensive. Most buy and n bulk and ur Lap should take w/o any problems. Even picky fish will take massivore. In fact it’s hard to switch from massivore to something else.

Cheaper pellets are out there.

That’s normal poly behavior. Wouldn’t worry but make sure your tank is covered.

Massivore is like crack to polys and they do put on weight with it.

Some other issues could be the bare bottom tank. The lap may not feel comfortable with that and may be stressed. Also have you tried night feeding? Some polys just do better with night feeding.

also, i was wondering if i didn't use meds and used heat for parasite treatment, would it work as well for polls cause i know one discus owner gradually turned the temp to 96 and let it be that way for 5 days and then gradually bring it back down and his discus were rid of parasites and ate more ferociously.

heres link:

P.S is this too risky or should polys be able to handle high temp (cause discus in my opinion are more dainty fish so i think polys should be fine.

I read thru and it’s an interesting post. I wouldnt suggest it as they thought it could be hexemita and it wasnt clear if worms couldn’t be treated with the heat.

okay one more thing,

from the pictures, do you think I should do the parasite treatment?

He is kinda skinny but still eating (only a little) and also if I don't put any meds would she die? I just want whats best for my fish :)

also is the reason my fish eats one big chunk and stops eating a habit from the wild where they have less food so they will eat one bigger fish and stop eating?

Finally, is it normal for laps to eat, have a large bulge in one part of stomach and then over time it goes away and looks normal or is that possibility of parasite?
