I actually turned down a job not to long ago where I would be making double of not more than what I make now... All I had to do was drive my own vehicle around and replace air filters... I turned it down because I would of ended up hating it just as much... That was the point I decided I wanted to go into a trade... Honestly I might not like any job I will ever have but I would much rather have a job not everyone can do and learn within a week... I also want something more steady... I work primarily 3rd shift... I go to work a lots of different times and I get off when the job is done... I absolutely hate that inconsistenty where the schedule and pay is up and down
I remember you talking about that job. You probably made the right choice in the long run how much growth and security would you have replacing air filters ? Who knows maybe not much.

I think it's great that your seriously thinking about your life and where you want to be. I wish more younger people did this.

I think you should look into state/govt jobs too. You would be surprised what you can make.

Now if you do become an electrician you will know something not everyone knows and there's no reason why you couldnt start your own biz.

How serious are you with your G friend ? Maybe wedding bells ?

Yup. I never had money issues until I met my wife lol I used to make her pay her credit card weekly.

There are other ways to build your credit besides owning a car. This is another hustle and another reason to be forever in Debt.

Like millerkid519 millerkid519 stated just paying off monthly bills with that credit card right away will build your credit.
I almost alway side with you on things and this the same as well but, being on the other side of the screen when people are applying for credit I can tell you. Having a car payment paid vs having a credit card paid is so much beneficial. Creditors and banks would prefer to see a car loan paid than a small credit line.

Been with her for 4 and a half years next month... I'm only 20 I'm not gonna make that decision now but I do not plan on breaking up with her and we've talked about that plenty of times... She's in college for communications and marketing specifically

Ultimately I would like to be my own boss and run my own buisness... If I'm gonna work my ass off I might as well do it for myself... But u feel the safest way to acquire that is to get a career first.. Make some money then start your buisness.. Not go into debt and risk it all imo
No one says to go crazy in debt and risk it all. Especially when your mentioning financing 5k. I’m not saying to go and start a business without any experience. what I’m trying to say is find what you like doing and what you’re good at and make that your career.

I guess I'm so young I haven't really found what I like and what I'm good at... Iv had plenty of ideas of what I would like from investing my money in the stock market to having my own T-shirt website and designing shirts. I'm not the most handy guy but I feel as though I want to be if that makes sense

I'm not disagreeing with you brother I'm not in finance but can tell you from my life experience. I'm on my 3rd house. I don't own 3 house lol (just my 3rd you know what I mean)

When i baught my 1st house I didn't even own a car I had a Harley that was paid off for some time, no issues with my credit few yrs back I paid all my credit cards off and cancelled them. That wasn't too long ago, we recently moved and my credit score has never been higher. I went through 3 mortgages and never had issues wether I had credit cards orcar loans.

Not having a car loan isn't going to kill a 20 yr old. As long as he's paying is other bills on time

Bro your young. It doesn't matter what you think right now. As long as your working your gaining experience, you just don't know it yet.

I think your going to be just fine.
