Hmm..do ya think that could be a cause of the growth rate slowing?
I don't know maybe. All fish have growth spurts and things slow down as the age but this is annoying asides from the teug they are all roughly the same size. I noticed for me they hit 12 inches pretty fast. Then slow down hit that 17ish inch wall and really slow down.

What have you experienced ?

I do under feed feed every other to every 2days..sometimes 3 days in between feedings
Up your feeding bro. When I want to bump up some of my fishes growth I go 2x a day 5 days a week with 2 days off for digestion. Within 3-4 weeks I guarantee you they’ll put on some size. I would mention water but that would be an insult I know you’re on top of your game there haha.

I have started feeding every 3 days and i feed enough that there is some food left in the tank. Then if it is still there the next moning i fish it out if i can. But yeah, mine too just seem to have been stuck at that 14-18 inch range.

Same boat as to growth. I cut back the feeding because I felt the polys were looking like big fat stuffed sausages. I feed smaller amounts every other night and really have not seen any real growth in length just girth. I like the leaner look on the polys rather than the fat look so I have not been feeding as heavily. All the polys seem to look the same. All stuck at about 16-17" range except the endli who is a bit bigger.

My polys do look lean and mean, not undernourished at all, just 'fit'. When my ansorgii first came to me I was stuffing it with Massivore and it and the endli both looked fat. I hated that about them.

After all this talk now Im motivated to increase feeding and water changes, lol. I know J jaws7777 will keep us updated on the changes to his polys. I cant wait to see if he can get past the slump.

At least you have your polys on a pellet diet too. My pearsei and het eat so much I cant get enough pellets to the bottom. Oh yeah, I put them on a diet too. Girl was getting way too thick so I cut back on them too. I feel like I was feeding too much which also caused me to clean the tank way too much. Part of the idea of the big tank was a little less maintenance.
