lol, no seriously the first pic was taken on a different day and it is the ansorgii. they do share the same gray coloration so it would be easy to think it was the same fish in the two pics.
Have not updated much about the Oscar progress here but will add some info:
Of the 3 wild Columbia Oscar I have only one left (Oscar #2) and then I have a Red Oscar growing out with it. The Wild were absolute monsters toward each other with them bullying till basically only one was left. The first got all its fins shredded and the second to go got completely descaled. Could not believe the brutality involved. Somehow the red and wild get along quite well.
This is how the wild Columbia looks now.
These two will eventually go into the 300g with the bichirs.
Other things: The Nigerian lap is still with me but my buddy has said he wants it but needs a little time to move some things around.

What a great team! Love the letter pics. Keep them coming. I see a “P” “R” and then arrow sign. Maybe they are trying to spell poly.
Wild oscar looks super nice btw. Typically I’m not an oscar fan, but the Colombian one that you have seems great.
Well the ball is rollin' on getting poly stock down. My buddy is ready for the Nigerian lap and I may have a buyer for the Koliba lap too. This brings my stock down to 4 polys. This would be the endli, Ansorgii, Faranah lap and weeksii. This is a nice combo of polys that are active with the exception of the endli who hides toward the back.
This stock change should allow some room for me to add my two Oscars and one other fish. Looking at maybe a catfish of sorts... undecided as to the type but leaning toward a large synodontis like the clarias or a hemi synodontis membranaceus
