If he gets too big - i'll simply swap him with smaller one. So no problem here.

More ideas on Blue Gularis vs Puffer?

Even with daily feedings of snails the saps will need their teeth trimmed. If you could some how breed snails and crawfish or small clams then you might be ok. I really want a puffer or a couple, schoudenti is what I want but price and availability is holding me back. My thought was saps as replacments like 5 would still be a third the price. But ive talked to and watched a ton of people and videos. They all say saps will need regular trims in captivity. I dont know if I can commit to that. Ive been breeding ramshorn snails and I purchased 2 self cloning crays in preparation but the crays have yet to self clone. Maybe not self cloning who knows?

what about putting boiled shrimp or mussel with shell? somehow i think that could do the trick...
Maybe somebody with knowledge on killies (Fundulopanchax sjoestedti) could say more? Possible problems with other crew members? (Ctenos shouldn't attack fins?)
Also maybe somebody is familiar with both - SAP and sjoestedti growth rates?

Fundulopanchax should rather be kept in their own tank. I think they'll eventually be lunch.

Here comes some teasers of 'farm' aquarium (guppies for fry, shrimps for little shrimps, plecos (not in photo - L201 and L144) and Sulawesi orange rabbit snail.

2nd tank undergoing cycle - will be a quarantine tank and later on tuned into either killie or puffer (depends on who goes into main tank of predators). Also adding one photo of cave (I like the caves to be viewed and not something where fish swims and you never see him until he's out)

Only because of the sap tooth thing. Everything ive read says they do better In groups of 3 or more and its going to be hard keeping up production of snails to feed to keep teeth ground down. Shrimp shells arent hard enough. Mussels or clams could work but saps are pretty small.......thats another factor too I guess is the overall size. Its still possible the killies could be a meal you'll just have to watch and see.
