It'll be happy in the long run. I'd say focus on the tank as much as possible and less on the fish to not stress yourself over it.

Wonder if he'll get a growth spurt now
We will see. He has always eaten a ton and I haven’t fed him in like 1.5 weeks. There is a lot more flow in this tank now. Probably like 4,000-5,000 gph versus only like 1,000 before. I could see the current pushing him in some places so he’s going to get a lot more exercise. Do think I need to get a large piece of driftwood so he has some rest spots or places so lurk at times.

Yes something large for him would be natural, hell I'd say a big rock if it didn't weigh to much

So this guy is back to eating and being active. He definitely likes being in a bigger tank. I can see that the sore on his chin from the 40g is healing. He did lose a scale during the move which I’m surprised how large his scales are. Hopefully it grows back.

Looks good in there.
Lol it’s barren now. I want to add some floating plants to help with historic algae issues, and I’m looking at fake driftwood that won’t scratch the acrylic bottom. In ~1-2 months I’ll start pulling out that media that’s sitting right in the tank.
