Wow I thought I wanted a Nicaraguan Blue for my next tank, but I definitely want a Red Xanthic. Im so jealous.

Big one getting more orange. Still with the kind of piebald black in it. Others still very white

Pictures don’t really do them justice at all. The growout tank they are in has horrible lighting. Once they get in the 180 the pictures will be far better

How is the aggression?

Not bad. The orange and black one is the dominant one. He chases the others around occasionally but there are plenty of caves and hiding spots so it hasn’t been a real issue yet.

They are growing quickly. The ones that were all white are starting to get an orange patch. I suspect they will all be a lot orange by the end. At least half orange half white

They seem to be peeling like an amphilophus. I wouldn't expect this with xanthic.
How sure are you they are pure dovii?
Is that how it works? They are looking great, I hope they are actually red dovii, was the seller reputable?
