.....just heard that New Jersey will soon be be imposing a "shopping bag tax" on it's citizens.....like they aren't already rippping people off enough with their astronomical properrty taxes.

Only one did, the others left soon as they could.
And I don't want first hand experience, for the same reason I don't need first hand experience being burned by fire

Don't know how much you've traveled or where you live but NY is no different than any large city. Philly, San Fran, Miami, Atlanta, and all of the other large cities I've been to equally suck. I'll tell you one thing I doubt many cities would have pulled through a 9/11 event like NYC did.

Wouldnt it be more eco-friendly to force manufacturers to use recycled plastic for the bags ?
