the biggest reason for staying back has more to do with rockes flying of there wheels than what may come out of the trucks, their treads hold rocks that fly off at highway speed as well has rocks and gravel that get build up in the undercarriage.

and yes, posting it does remove it, they can not control what flies of there wheels as they may have been picked up any ware. No way to prove differently and no more responsible than you if you clip a rock and it hits the guy behind you window.

Canada eh
Does this sign really clear the driver of any liability from debris flying out of the truck and damaging someone's vehicle?

I think if you are back far enough, you won’t be able to read the sign. So when you speed up to see what it says, the golf ball sized rock bounces off your windshield....

Then someone pokes you in the eye through the hole and chants 16,16,16...

Yeah I've never seen anyone maintaining that amount of distance between their vehicle and such trucks.
That's a crock, how do you stay 200ft behind them at a light without pissing the rest of the people off. It's excuse for them not to secure the load they are carrying.

Half the rocks seem to come from the wheels or back bumper, however a lot are careless about putting secured tarps over their loads.

(Krichardson attempts to read sticker, gets to close, guy from asylum falls out of truck and pokes krich in eye,car crashes, crazy runs away yelling "17,17,17", price of eyepatches go up)
