It was only 16" deep though. If I remember it was 48×30×16.... But yeah a deep one would be spectacular! Love my polys!

Sorry Finwin, One conversation lead to another and we got off the sand track. Since our conversation continued into Bichirs we went to the private sector.
This thread is about a non toxic, sand Finwin discovered that comes in a variety of colors. It doesn't cloud and stays put during cleaning. It is called Sandtastik. Check the beginning of this thread for more details or ask Finwin for more details.

Lol worst derail ever...this thread went over the gully and down in the gulch. My highest class friend (while tapping his $15,000 gold watch fob) declared that Sandtastik is a win. I have some phone pics with more accurate representation of the color. Might post a pic of the large boxes. I was able to use my Nicrew electric aquarium vac (not recommended for sand I discovered) anyway with no bad effect. Vaccum is great and only removes debris not water, has a catch mesh up top. No sand went into the impeller.

Well how can I help crane it back on track? I did put in it was non toxic. I did notice the manufacturer put in waterproof. Cleveland Park is in NW. Wash. DC. That's where a wine fountain is. I am from Wa State. We do have wine grapes, vineyards and St. Michelle Vineyard among them. Where do you hail from?
Is it an aquarium vaccuum? Nicrew sounds familiar.

Nicrew is an aquarium vac, you can find it on amazon...Petco also carries it. I figured I would try it for quick spot cleanups. Maximum water line is just under the handle. Been struggling with siphon tubes (python) with different height aquariums. Longer the height the slower the siphon...I've got a 12", a 24" and a 30"...crud just suspends in the 30"...I'd almost need another python extension to make it work. The 12" works best on small tanks but if you have a double tank rack the siphon loses back pressure on the lower level tank at about 50% drainage (lower height / less gravity).
There is a battery version of the vac I believe, but my preference was the plug in (better power)

But seriously that is a great color you have. I read your sand is made from Fieldspar stone. I would like to hear more about your sand and you should show those photos again for new readers. Remember there are always new readers and new members. I have been a member for a little while and haven't yet read quite of few of the forums.
No big deal about "the other Washington.". So do you say you are from " The Washington, D.C., or Washington. " ?
These are the extensions I was speaking of...12", 24", and 30". There's a 48" one too but good luck with that.
Why thank you. Those look like my own vacuum. I make my own extensions from the hardware store. And made a smaller version for micro tanks. I can't send photos, for some reason my device, older, isn t compatible with this format. I can text or email fine. Another member interested in my Torpedo Beach Sand had me email photos and then posted them. Sweet nice thing to do. You can see photos of one tank that is partial sand and partial gravel toward more recent posts page 5 & 7 I think of thread To Sand or not to Sand.

I have 13 tanks, Ten active, different sizes. I will have to look into what makes the Python different. I think I read or was told it has sink hookups for filling tanks.

Thanks...I'm an artist but work for the gubbmit...gotta eat! And yeah, those super long extensions are a PITA...I figured the 30 would at least keep the bottom of my hands dry. But no...damn hose is too short for a bucket drain and a long extension hose kills the gravity in the siphon. Worse, if I bend the tube too far it crimps the hose. That's why I ended up getting the electric vaccum. Now if I'm doing a partial water change and wait for the level to be lower, the siphon is workable. But at full tank? No way, I don't care what those UTubers show.
