Dang. But awesome that you’ll have a completely remodeled place. I’m pretty sure every apt I’ve been in they wouldn’t have done that. Just waited till you moved out and then updated it.Aperantly we got new apartment owners and they ain't messing around at all. They are going to make them all brand new while we are in them. ...... right.....
Well last Monday this happened View attachment 1354861 View attachment 1354862

It will be done tomarrow. They covered my tanks with plastic so dust wouldn't get in. They ask me everyday about them, been watching as Casper and Goldie spawned. They are going to do the kitchen/dinning area next. Putting up a plastic wall to keep all the dust and what not on that side. When done will move the tanks in there, plastic wall back up while they do living/bedrooms. Rather easy for us to do this, couple bachelors with minimal stuff not counting my tanks. I can see it not working so well for some other tenants.
These are not your normal Apts really just duplexes with no garages built in 1966. Last renovation was in the 80's so ya lots of damage from a Slum Lord owning them for thirty years. A slight hassle for a brand new apartment when they are all done.
Sweet bathroom. Thats cool the the new owners are investing in the property. Any idea if they plan to raise the rent to compensate?Aperantly we got new apartment owners and they ain't messing around at all. They are going to make them all brand new while we are in them. ...... right.....

They told the on site manager that no raises in rent till a year after all twenty Apts done. It's only 925 now, about two hundred away from the normal price of a 2bedroom apt around here.Sweet bathroom. Thats cool the the new owners are investing in the property. Don't think I could move back down to the South. Lived in Houston till I was thirteen. Then mom moved us here. Thirty three years in this damp cool climate has changed me. This last summer we got 30+ days of 90deg heat, I was hating life. Also none of them southern states have come out of the dark ages of marijuana legalization. Been using it since 97 to control side effects of cemo/radiation therapy. No way am I going to get strung out on the pain pills big pharmacy is pushing on us.Geez that's a lot. I prefer to not live directly in the city but 925 can get you a 4-5 bed house from Houston to here
