To avoid confusion. Borneo and Sumatra are islands belonging to Indonesia. Since, these locales are attached to the marketing of these Indonesian Datnoids (D. Microlepis). Hope it helps clarify . Lots of Borneo, Kalimantan, and Sumatran names being thrown out there.

* Borneo (green) is a large island shared with Malaysia and Brunei Country (North of island) Kalimantan are the states/region in Borneo island (green)

* Sumatra (Orange) is an Island in Indonesia. It’s located west of Borneo (green)

As for the suggested or known fish color, markings, market price, etc... I’m going to leave that to your own opinions at this present time. Lol. All I’ll do is post photos and videos for the labeled Microlepis and try to list the collection locale. Enjoy !

To start. Here’s a catch locale. Borneo, Indonesia. Kalimantan Region

Thanks for posting this.

No probz. Now I got to find some Sumatran media. Lol. Most of it is just in someone tank, or when the seller is handling it outside the water. Just to let us ALL know how much we are all missing out. :—)
