Most likely just been rubbing its face into the glass a lot. Doubt it's an infection.

No I went to visit them today and I so ****ing UPSET. They have plecos in there with them eating off their slime coat. I told the idiot working there to take them out and thankfully he did, but first he tried to tell me that Plecos are normal tankmates for bichirs. Explain the damage then!!! Hopefully they'll be okay now that the plecos are gone. They were really just going to let them suffer like that. 1362019

Nooooo poor baby. Somebody better pick him up quick. At least the employee was receptive-and did move the fish. Perhaps they didn’t know better? shrugs I really hope they take care of the poly from now on.
