I love the way that poly is peeking out of the sand. Reminds me of when I used to keep dojo loaches and they'd burrow into the sand and I'd see their heads poking out of the sand.

When you have the opportunity and space to get one of your dream fish for free, you don't turn it down. Every bit of 16". Unfortunately most likely stunted as it spent at least 4 years in a cramped 90 with way too many other monster fish. But I didn't test the water, so I can't say for sure. Overall he looks healthy though.






And he looks happy!

Sold some of the val today. Also found out it's not jungle val, but val americana. this is some of the shorter ones in front of one of the 8ft 300's

So... I got some things today.... Price was too good to pass up. Not as good as the achara, but still definitely worth the 15 minute drive round trip
