120G - African Biotope - Suggestions

In the wake of tank consolidation it’s left some space...

So,

120G - 5’x18”x24” - FX6, EMP 350 (2)

It’s got 3 fish in there -

5” Ornate
5” Endlicheri
5” L - 114

Thinking of things to Add -

Congo Tetras - how many?
Leaf Fish - how many?
One More Bichir/Poly -
African knife - not my fav -
Some kind of cat?
African butterfly - how many?

If tank were 24” wide I’d love an african arow too ?
i’d love 1-3 Congo puffers but don’t want to commit to clams n things...

Trying to keep everyone on pellets!

Some kind of spiny eel from Africa could be a cool addition, but I don’t think they will readily take pellets.

Looks like maybe only 1-3 leaf fish as they get good sized ...

Need some color... everything’s brown...

Your polys would eventually eat the Congos. Three ctenopoma would be a good number. As for a colorful fish I'd say maybe jewels? I don't like them but they are colorful.

A small species of tilapia maybe remember tilapia is broad category of fish you may find one suitable for you also you can maybe just maybe get an ode pike if you plan on upgrading the tank a bit more

Nah, probably no upgrade on the horizon, I’ve already got one big tank...
