Any idea on shipping to 40489?
It really depends on the fish and weight but in general it'll probably be around $55-65. I ship next day air via Fedex. No UPS right now unfortunately, they're screwing everyone right now. Tangled Up In Cichlids is having a hell of a time right now because UPS delayed 8 of their "next day" packages by 4 days and they still havent been delivered. Safe to say all those fish are dead. Huge waste of great quality stock and money taken away from a good business

ST is probably a bit out of my reach at the moment haha but I am looking for NGT!
Cichla always and forever!
I can get discus but I know very little on them to be able gauge quality so I've kept my distance. I can do some research to try and understand them a bit more. What kind of bichirs would you enjoy seeing?

Already working on the breeding of wc/good quality bass as well. When it happens you best bet you'll be one of the first to know.
Right now Im just waiting on a few wholesalers to register my IEN and for import shipments to get cheaper again.
Some cichlids I am trying to get in though are f2 Beani, high quality Black German Rams, and possibly T-Bar Cichlids.

Amazingly today, 6 days later they arrived! No DOAs thank goodness! one order was a whole box of Cichla monoculus. I wouldve bet the farm they would be dead but they arrived today after 6 days alive and are swimming in a tackle shop in CT's aquarium as of 1pm today. Most others were somewhat cooler water tolerant and were okay as well since its been warm overnight in most of the US the last few days. After 2-3 days waste build up tends to be the killer as ammonia surges.
Max at maxchichlids and I sent each other large shipments and both his and my boxes got shipped all over the east coast and a day late. and that was air cargo, airport-to- airport , SAME DAY service! The fish I sent him weren't small fish either. all survived for both of us.
Shipping is by far the most stressful part of the job.

Yeah I found out because the 6 monos were going to a good friend of mine, I felt so bad UPS did that to you! I even told Benoit it was a 99% chance they were dead but you packaged them so well they somehow made it. I was shocked! So happy everything worked out for you, I wouldve hated to see your company get hit with all those dead fish.

Had I been in that situation I would be tearing my hair out...

I though 100% it was a loss as well. A temp & water chemistry sensitive species i thought were goners. I spoke to him on the phone that day and was shocked!! He wasn't the only one. 8 were missing from that same day. It was a rough day. Every single package from that day was lost. Not the first, (second, or third time even) that has happened. They all eventually showed up a few days late and all lived.
An old post here from January by a then angry client(hes a great customer now) posted about his and 4 others being lost for a week. they also eventually showed up alive in the dead of winter. Its been brutal. I've tried FedEx. no better, no worse. I've done same day air cargo airport to airport and had the same problems. UPS has gotten some serious hate mail from me more than once. I don't understand how the #1 logistics company on the planet has not adapted and figured out how to make things work after nearly 4 months. mind blowing. ITS WHAT THEY DO! I've even hired an outside company to handle shipping logistics and have paid private couriers to take possession of packages from UPS and deliver them for me(for some members here actually). On Fridays I personally hand deliver orders to local(ish) clients to eliminate them being lost and sitting until the following week. I have one expensive order that I shipped 6 weeks ago(tomorrow) still "in transit". I've already resent the order for free which amounts to 200% loss on that order. But, client got his order. These are all Next Day Air or same day orders too which is even worse. None of which is currently insurable.
What I find funny is a few weeks ago i had a few days where everything showed up on time and i had 3 orders with doas. super rare. go figure?? Perhaps they were practicing soccer or football punts. Who knows. but, shipping is by far the most stressful part of the job. Luckily TUIC seriously has the best customers. 99.5% are understanding and we work it out.
All this nonsense while feeding & maintaining thousands of fish, 12,000 gallons of aquarium, answering 50-75 emails a day(sometimes more), trying to answer phone calls(which is almost impossible) making boxes, stuffing fish bags, pulling & packing dozens of fish, getting them to the airport or shipping hub on time 5 days a week. They(UPS & FedEx) need to figure it out soon.
