Grey bichirs in community tank

I just got two baby delhezi bichirs and can tell you most bichirs have great personality's and are active predators
here are mine

yes definitely just maybe get captive bred bichirs then as they will max out at 24 inchs usually

ive been wanting bichirs for a while because they look so cool but i do also have parrot cichlids with the aro would it still work out

Thanks! You might be able to get away with a delhezi as they usually get bigger than greys the biggest one I have heard of is 17 inchs but will probaly stay 13-15

Just out of curiosity how long can bichirs stay out of water before dying

is it when they dry up and die or something else

Its when their gills dry up their is a very cool documentary on youtube called fish out of water where someone put a bichir on complet land with a misting system and raised the bichir for several months out of water and the mist keeped it moist as long as their gills stay wet they are good but when they start sticking together they are in trouble

Unrelated to the bichirs but do u think this molly is pregnant it’s been looking like this for a couple weeks by now

dont have much expeirence with smaller fish or live bearers but I have seen bigger Jack dempseys with smaller bellys give birth so my money would be on yes
but only time will really tell
