I like the white stand too. It is in our open concept living room and matches our kitchen cabinets. It almost has a ‘built in’ look with our decor.
Those are some good looking fish! How long have you had them and how big were they when you got them?
My project has been about a year and a half now. Got all the fish as little babies and raised them from about 1”. Its been a lot of fun to do now that they all get along.

That’s cool. I would like to do something similar. Just struggle with the patience lol.

The 300 gallon came along with a full home remodel, lol. 6 months of work and tons of planning to accomplish the final outcome. Even then I still have been trying to get the tank itself aquascaped to look like something thats been there a while. Still working on something for the left side of tank. The small piece of Mopani on that side just isn’t cutting it.

Decided to do an 'upgrade' in the fish room. Have always been bothered by the 30 gallon in the center rack. The tank had to be a bit narrower due to the fact there was a window behind, so no 18" wide tank. I decided to go with a 46 gallon bowfront. 4" taller and just a bit wider

To accommodate the extra width Im going to extend the front bow out past the racking. Was doing work on the new shelf for the tank today. cut the 3/4" plywood, did edge banding and did some wood filler.

Did about a 5/8" edge out past the tank

I still need to sand the ply and then prime, paint and install. This is the general idea of how it should sit.

Have a 6" space behind the tank to accommodate the Aquaclear 110 and not interfere with the window behind. Want to add something so that I can also put an outlet strip back there

More pics to come when I make some more progress
