Is this tank stock ok

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I’m thinking If I make hiding spaces for the female where the male cant get in would that be ok and I’ll see if I can find a breeding pare then If that doesn’t work I could get red terror with silver dollors maybe
I’ve never kept festae but my experience with aggressive cichlids tells me that no hiding spot will be safe for the female if he decides he wants to kill her. The hiding spot would work with the catfish because the level of aggression towards the catfish would most likely be less than towards another cichlid, especially the same species

I agree with J Joshuakahan I don’t know if you could use decor for safety.

My guy was 15 inches and thick he could easily move pots and rock around his tank.
The only thing that saved the female a few times was the divider and he broke that a couple of times but luckily he didn’t make it through.

At the end of the day, you can take the advice you’ve been given or choose to ignore it.
It would be a shame for animals to suffer needlessly.

Don’t worry im gonna try out 4 silver dollars an Oscar and the feather fin catfish if there’s aggression issues I’ll move the aggressor into a different tank
