Been awhile... Just a small update, yep still a poly keeper. lol

The 300 has been going through a lot of change since the loss of the big Pearsei. Decided to go back to my love of cichlids and especially amphilophus.

Lots of fish growing out at the moment...

Also a complete garage make over that will include two 75 gallons, two 65B's and a 30 gallon. This is all still being worked on.

Anyway just thought I had to update here for all the old time ploy keepers, lol
everything is looking great. Thanks for keeping us posted. Looks like you have been up to a lot of projects lately. Glad we are finally getting to see all the grow-out tanks. The colors on the cichlids are really popping off too. I know you'd been trying to find some cichlids you liked for a while. Looks like everything is going in a positive direction.

I see real plants too!

Well a lot to update since I last posted. I am still a poly keeper but have reduce the numbers to just my endli and ansorgii. I reohomed some and lost one but in the end the tank looks very quiet on the bottom. I have shifted interest back to my first love and that is cichlids and especially amphilophus. Currently growing out midas, red devil, sagittae. And of course still very happy with my little puffers.

I guess I need to post some pics!

My completed garage tank rack with seating area.

Two 75's on top, two 65B below and a 30g in the middle. I also have a ton of storage for all my fish keeping gear.

That is such a neat and chill area and those fish are beautiful!
Thank you, that was the goal, but it came out a little utilitarian with the metal racking. Kind of wished I would have done a DIY wood one, might have looked a bit warmer. Over all happy with the space.

My once a year fish/poly updates, lol

I still am keeping polys. Just two now in the 300 gallon. My endli is in the back right of the tank and about 20" now. The ansorgii is in the front left and around 18". Both of these guys get along great with each other and the cichlid, bala shark tank mates.

Since my last posting I have once again changed out my fishroom. The original two 75's have now become 90's. Added a 46g bowfront and moved my 30 gallon below it. Old pic after the change

Of all things I decided to make the 46g bowfront a planted community tank. Guess what? Its one of my favorite tanks. Just a swarm of activity and made me remember how fun "regular" fish can be.

Just a morning shot of the fishroom with lights just coming on. The 30 needs a matching light and timer which is now on order.

Might be taking that idea of warehouse shelving for fish room stands now that 2x4s are just over $1/ft right now.

My DeWalt racks work great for my needs but definitely not ready to use. I had to make a ton of modifications to get it to where it is. I wanted these racks in particular due to their more compact nature and the space I was working with. I also already had the two 65B so it was based on adding them in.

If I had to do it all over I really wish I could have incorporated different tanks. I love the footprint of my 90's (or 75's), my 65B's are borderline useless for what I raise. Also wish I had two 6ft tanks in the mix, particularly 125 gallon. But its all paid for and in good shape to last me for years to come, so happy with end results.
