A bit of an update... the universal rocks stuff has held up pretty well so far. it will develop a bit of greenish algae growth on it and I can just pull it out and do a light bleach solution and scrub it off and rinse and its as good as new. Was a bit disappointed in the one tall grass like plant, it has metal wire in it and the one I have had a section where the exterior plastic was worn off so it rusted... but in the end no different than people who make their own plants from the ones at Michaels or the craft store.

While not a bichir update I did do a change to my fishroom... replace the standard 30 gallon with a Fluval Flex 32.5

Original tank was this Shell dweller set up

Found them to be boring so went with this and am moving my puffer into it

Is that an issue with the arch front of the bowfront tank not being supported?
On the Fluval Flex on the bottom? This tank was designed to bow out that way.

Or on the top 46g bowfront? If thats what you mean, then still no cause I built a special shelf to support it fully.

Every couple months I still check in on my thread and update.

Some early morning shots with a little light I added for a dusk/ dawn effect

Still really liking the Universal Rocks decor the the 300. I did replace the large piece on the left hand side of the tank because the first piece was jut too big and fish could not swim around it well. The replacement looks big but is much skinnier.

Thats it for the update until the next one in six months, lol

I envy the consistent cleanliness of your fishrack and tanks in general (at least when you photograph them lol). Seeing such a well organized setup gives me MTS pangs. Only one tank for me for now :(
Thanks, I am a clean-a-holic. I am regular with cleaning and water changes so they usually look pretty good. Plus the agreement with the wife is that the 300 must be immaculate since its in the living room where we have friends and guests visit.

As to the one tank, thats where I started…then the key is to upgrade to the next bigger size. Over the course of years I got to eventually upgrade to the 300.
