Bump! Couldn't resist replying here.

Used to:

-Goldfish
-Koi
-Bluegill
-Pumpkinseed
-Yellow perch
-Common pleco
-Rosy reds
-White clouds
-Guppies
-Red tail shark (will have again!)
-Pangasius catfish
-Featherfin catfish
-Squeaker catfish I don't know the species of, that was not a featherfin
-Zebra loach (will have again!)
-Weather loach (will have again!)
-Yoyo loach (will have again!)
-Striped kuhli loach (will have again!)

Currently:

-Clown loach
-Pictus catfish
-Black kuhli loach
-Siamese fighting fish
-Bristlenose pleco (depending on how much mess this pleco makes, it unfortunately might have to be moved to the 'used to' list)
-Neon tetra (hopefully this won't happen, but neon tetra disease may move these to the 'used to' list)
-Green neon tetra

And this does not include 4 species I haven't yet kept that I will next year.
Adding the following to my list.

Used to's that I forgot to put originally (and these are all of them):

-Channel catfish
-Yellow bullhead catfish
-Round goby
-Bowfin
-Some kind of spiny eel which was either a marbled or swamp eel

Currently (bought these between now and when I made that comment):

-Dwarf chain loach
-Cardinal tetra
-Small scale archerfish

I also currently have at least 5 future species to wait for, instead of just 4 like I did when I made that comment.
Today I can add Odessa barbs and roseline sharks. I also now have striped kuhli loaches again!

So far that makes a total of 34.

Shoot I'm small fry around here and the list is still going to be longish and I'll likely forget things.
Chichlids:
angelfish, rams, kribs, hrp, firemouth, geophagus, sevrum.
Livebearers:
Guppies, plauge minnows, platies, mollies, swordtails.
Catfish:
Cories, syndontis, plecos, farlowella, otos,
Tetras:
Black skirt, serpae, neons, cardinals, rummy nose.
others:
GSP, danios, flounders, gobies, khuli loaches, goldfish, bettas.
And I'm off to wal-mart for a small cheap cast net and filter. I finally fixed and set up my old 50gal with substrate, wood, rocks and plants from my favorite nearby creek. Fish seem to be doing good again after some recent storms washed away most of a pig carcasses goop that was fouling things up downstream. Saw some what I think were juvenile gar yesterday, mostly after small sunfish, catfish and minnows.

I can barely remember what I have now let alone in the past. Old age and memory do not always play well together.
My best guess would be something between 35 and 40 species including Lnumber catfish.

My biggest fish are my clown loaches and my smallest are my Celestial Pearl 'Danio' (Celestichthys margaritatus).

Oh my lord, your gonna need to give me a week to write them all down!
My memory goes back about 12 hrs nowadays, so I started keeping them at 9 and am 51 now so remembering them all over the last 42 years is gonna need time to pull out a lot of books and tick them off!
I have the last 30 years of monthly practical fish keeping magazines so that might help!

what I do know is that I am currently keeping 75 different species right now.

At the moment I've lost track of what species exactly I got since I made this, but I'm currently at 111.

I have no idea how you guys can keep that many species at a time. I currently have about 15 and my number rarely gets much higher than that...hundreds of specimens of some of those species, but just not that many species at any given time. I recently divested myself of my entire breeding populations of a couple of Goodeid livebearers, and am toying with one or two other species I want to experiment with, but the idea of keeping track of 75 or 100+ species is staggering to me. :)
